May Allah Forgive R Sins.Ameen.
Remembr Me In Ur Prayers.

Wishing all my beloved readers a happy month of Ramadan Kareem filled with joy, love and holiness. Ramadan is the month of fasting where we refrain from eating and drinking for the love of God. This month has immense significance in the life of every Muslim and this ninth month of the Islamic Calendar is the holiest of all months. Ramadan gifts us with 5 things which are,

1 Iftar,
2 Sehri
3 Charity,
4 Laylat al-Qadr and
5 Eid Ul Fitr.

Iftar is the time during sunset when we break the fast with something sweet like date which is the Sunnah of the Last Prophet Mohammad PBUH.

Sehri is the time before dawn when we wake up in the middle of night and take meal before the call of Fajr Prayer.

Charity has great importance in the month of Ramadan. There is 70 times more reward to give charity/sadaqa/Zakat in ramadan than any other month. Fixed percentage of Income is given as charity to poor, needy and orphans.

Laylat al-Qadr is the night on which the holy Book of Muslims i.e. Quran Majeed was revealed to mankind. According to Muslim belief this revelation occurred on an odd-numbered night during the last 10 days of Ramadan, either the night of the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th.

Eid ul-Fitr is the holiday that marks the end of the fasting period of Ramadan. It’s the happiest moment in our lives which is celebrated the best we can. We buy new cloths, visit friends and families and share love and brotherhood.

I am now all ready for work and I apologies that I had kept you waiting for so long. Ramadan Mubarak. :)

Cedar Point sets Guinness World Record for most people bouncing beach balls

Cedar Point sets Guinness World Record for most people bouncing beach balls at the same time

Cedar Point is known for breaking records with their sky scraping roller coasters, but yesterday, two different kinds of records were broken by guests at the park.

Representatives from Guinness World Record were on hand as park guests succeeded in setting two new world records in beach ball bouncing and sunscreen application

First, 401 guests were able to bounce beach balls for 10 seconds to establish a world record for the most people bouncing beach balls at the same time, a new category for the famous world record keepers.

After establishing the beach ball record, the sun was shining and temperatures were around 80 degrees as 681 guests put on sunscreen at the same time, breaking the record set over a month ago in Ostend, Belgium, on June 25.

The two events were certified by an official adjudicator for Guinness World Records, Philip Robertson.

“Guinness world records is one of those institutions that everyone wants to take part in,” Robertson said. “It’s fun, entertaining, ordinary people doing extraordinary types of things.”

The events took place around 9:30 a.m. yesterday morning. Participants in the two record attempts were able to purchase discounted tickets, and portions of those ticket sales will be given to the American Cancer Society, according to Robin Innes, director of public relations for Cedar Point.

“Cedar Point is well-known for record-breaking coasters. Now, our guests can help us set other records at the park,” Innes said prior to the events. “Plus, the money goes for a good cause, the American Cancer Society. So, it’s a win-win for everybody.”

Largest simultaneous shower at a single venue break world record

Largest simultaneous shower at a single venue break world record

DICKSON CITY - Before this weekend, the most people Tom Mihalick had ever showered with at one time was six.

"It was at my fraternity in college," he said with a laugh.

But on Saturday, the Jermyn resident was prepared to shower with more than 160 others - most of them perfect strangers - in an attempt to break a world record for the most people showering in one location simultaneously.

The current record-holder for largest simultaneous shower at a single venue was logged in July 2009, when 145 people showered together in Gurnee, Ill., according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Saturday's attempt was made in the back parking lot of McCann Business School, where crews with SSGC and Scotty's Services built a 68-foot by 86-foot plywood structure that featured shower heads at regular intervals. Water was supplied by several fire trucks.

To count as a world record, participants must stay in the shower for at least five minutes and lather up using a biodegradable soap donated by The Fanciful Fox in Scranton.

"It is the most bizarre request I've ever had," said Fanciful Fox co-owner Amanda Fox. "(They) asked for 400 slivers of soap and we said, 'Sure.'"

The idea is the brainchild of Randy Snedeker, who decided to link the attempt with a fundraiser for St. Jude's in honor of his late mother, Dorothy.

"I've always wanted to break a world record," Snedeker said.

Mihalick, a mail carrier, came out for the group shower because he knew Snedeker from his postal route.

"I miss seeing her," he said. "She was a nice lady and made my route great."

Many, including Mihalick, donned swimwear for group shower. Others added whimsical touches, including water wings, shower caps, life jackets and snorkels.

Long Pond residents Dave and Lynne Woolfenden kept things simple; both wore bathing suits and brought towels to dry off with after. The couple had heard about the event on television and thought it would be fun to help.

Sibu breaks Guinness world record with longest graffiti scroll

Sibu breaks Guinness world record with longest graffiti scroll

SIBU: About 500 youths painted a 1.6km-long graffiti to place Sibu in the Guinness Book of World Records — the first ever for the district.

Lanang MP and Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King described the momentous event as history in-the-making for the local populace. Guinness World Records adjudicator Seyda Subasi-Gemici from Turkey was present to ensure everything went smoothly and the rules for the attempt were followed.

“My job is to record the attempt, and verify that the whole attempt took place according to the guidelines of Guinness World Records,” Seyda said.

The guidelines among others specified that the height of the canvas needed to be at least 1.5 metres.

“And there should be no gaps in the canvas. My final duty is to measure the canvas to confirm it is longer than the one in Brazil. If it exceeds the past record’s length, there will be a new record holder and the information is entered into the Guinness World Records database. A certificate will also be issued,” she added.

The event was held in conjunction with the Millennium Development Goals Awareness Campaign, co-hosted by JCI Malaysia and JCI Mandarin Sibu, and sponsored by Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) and saw hundreds of young people from schools, NGOs, and others painting their way into the Guinness World Records – Longest Graffiti Scroll – as early as 7am yesterday

“This marks a new era for Sibu as 500 youths create history, coming up with a 1.6km long graffiti to achieve a new World Guinness Record for the longest graffiti scroll.

“This is indeed a significant occasion for the people of Sibu as we show the world that Sibu ‘boleh’ and our young people ‘boleh’.

“With this achievement the world will come to know about Sibu and how dynamic its young people are,” Tiong said at the opening ceremony held at an open space next to KLT.

“Let this be the start of more good things to come and we hope others will follow suit to break more records to make Sibu better known to the world community.”

He praised the youths for their courage in taking up such challenge and elevating the town image.

The current record was set in Mar 7 this year in Brazil where 246 people painted a 1.4km-long graffiti, breaking an earlier record set in Mexico.

The usually quiet open space near KLT was turned into a hive of human activities, filled with laughter  as people from all walks of life sprayed their dreams on to the 1.6km-long canvas that snaked around the grounds.

It was a sight indeed to see design and creativity begin to manifests itself on the canvas, measuring 1.5 meter in height.
